THE original Hillsborough inquest verdicts have been overturned by the Lord Chief Justice after a hearing at the High Court in London.
The verdict was announced after an hour-long session at court five, with video links to two other courts in the building and one in Liverpool, such was the interest.
Attourney General Dominic Grieve had set out his case as to why they should be overturned, saying: "The wounds of grief are so sore because so many questions have been left unanswered - only new inquests can help these start to heal."

"He was certainly under the weather and you could see that from the colour of his face - he was pasty white. He lasted an hour and for that hour, I thought he was outstanding."

Liverpool striker Adam Morgan has been allowed to join League Two Rotherham United on loan following the arrival of Daniel Sturridge at Anfield.
Morgan, 18, played three times for Liverpool in the Europa League earlier this season and manager Brendan Rodgers believes his progress would benefit from regular first-team football.
He is set to make his Rotherham debut in their FA Cup third-round tie against Aldershot on Saturday.
;) Morgan, 18, played three times for Liverpool in the Europa League earlier this season and manager Brendan Rodgers believes his progress would benefit from regular first-team football.

Jose Enrique could be out of action for six weeks with a hamstring tear, Brendan Rodgers has confirmed.

Brendan Rodgers has told fans not to expect too much activity in the remainder of the transfer window - but revealed there could yet be one more signing.
The Reds have already strengthened their attacking ranks with the early signing of England international Daniel Sturridge from Chelsea.
But asked about any further business at his pre-Mansfield press conference, Rodgers told reporters: "We are not going to have a lot of money to do anything [else] in the window.
"We won't have that in January. There might be another but there is not much more business to be done."http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/latest-news/rodgers-on-further-signings

Thomas Ince's return from Blackpool to Liverpool hits deadlock as clubs fail to agree over price
Liverpool are ready to walk away from a deal for Blackpool’s Thomas Ince as they have no intention of increasing their bid for the midfielder.

Angeblich will Liverpool Sneijder holen.

Sky Sports understands that Liverpool have no interest in Dutch star Wesley Sneijder - but managing director Ian Ayre insists the club have the finances in place to make any signings they want.
...
But Ayre has told Sky Sports that they are working on a number of targets: "It is about who Brendan has got his designs on. What he wants, we will always say the same thing, if we find the right deals for the right players we will get it done.
"Everyone who operates in January knows it is always a difficult window, but we will do what we can. We have got targets in sight and if we can resolve those great, if not then we will move onto summer and do what we need to do.

ANFIELD chief Brendan Rodgers is tracking Bolton’s fit-again winger Chung-Yong Lee.
The Reds are interested in snapping up the South Korean, 24, before the transfer window closes. http://www.dailystar.co.uk/football/view/292735/Lee-thal-weapon/

Liverpool have reportedly turned their attention to Sevilla centre back Federico Fazio after missing out on a deal for Vegard Forren.
Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is believed to be in the hunt for a new defender this month, and long-term target Fazio has emerged as a cheap option.
...
According to AS, Fazio could cost as little as £3million, and given his ability to play either as a central defender or holding midfielder, he could add versatile cover to Rodgers’ defence.

It is believed Brendan Rodgers is lining up a bid to bring centre half Steven Caulker to Anfield. Rodgers worked with Caulker last season at Swansea; where the inexperienced defender formed a great partnership with Swans captain Ashley Williams. Rodgers is lining up a 4.5 million bid with a contract of £45,000 a week for the 21 year old defender in his quest for young talent.
